BLACKBURN with Darwen has received £230,000 for its acclaimed Access Points.
The Euro cash boost to the centres, which offer advice on employment and training, will allow them to expand, and in some cases offer longer opening times. All five centres, which includes the Women's Resource Centre, have previously been awarded a quality mark from the Guidance Accreditation Board.
The centres provide a one-stop service to people looking for guidance on applying for jobs and courses.
Councillor Bill Taylor, executive member, said: "This award demonstrates our commitment to providing a quality service across the entire spectrum of education."
