THE NSPCC is campaigning for a Children's Commissioner.
I feel it is something we should vote for, in order that the Government will make it a prime issue on their agenda.
Children need to feel they can trust us to protect them from rape, abuse and murder, make the roads safer for them to use as they go to and from school and provide the facilities so disabled children can develop to their full potential.
There is so much more could be done for all the children in this country and would be done if the Government would create the post of a Children's Commissioner.
We should be caring for the children of today, as they will be the ones looking after the welfare of others in another 10-20 years time.
Please, let's take the lead and convince the Government of the importance of our children.
PAT TATTERSALL (Mrs), Whinney Lane, Lammack, Blackburn.
