A CHILDREN'S commissioner in England is urgently required to help stop cruelty to children.
The NSPCC is heading a campaign to establish the above post in government, a post which would act as watchdog for every child in the UK who currently have no one single body to represent their needs.
The issue of child protection is uppermost in our thoughts after Sarah Payne's tragic death. A children's commissioner would ensure that our public services respected and worked in the best interests of this most vulnerable of groups.
