WILL our Fylde councillors please arrange for the surgical removal of at least two of the five carbuncles that have appeared on one section of St Annes Square.
Two or three which provide a useful purpose -- rented out as retail kiosks -- we can tolerate, but five is just too much.
Two should be uplifted and placed on the opposite side to create a balance.
Then there is the matter of the bus shelters which have been erected the wrong way round. Had they been erected correctly the full panel would be on the seafront side and the screen which is at the back would have been at the kerb side for safety reasons.
Presently any mother with a child who is momentarily distracted, within the blink of an eyelid the child could be off the kerb and into the road.
So before this happens please uplift these bus shelters and turn them the right way round with the full screen on the kerb side along with the seating inside.
This would also give protection to those sitting down. At the moment vehicles pass and legs are splashed.
The same applies to the newly erected shelter on Clifton Drive in front of The Admiral pub.
Surely our elected councillors should be more aware, or do they go around with their eyes closed? Perhaps they should go on more walkabouts.
Name and addres supplied.
