A HARD-hitting play highlighting the risks of dangerous driving to teenagers is about to hit stages at schools.
Aimed at 16, 17 and 18-year-olds, Legal Weapon by the Ape Theatre Company tells of a sixth form couple and uses a range of themes from sport, gambling and violence to tackle issues around speeding and driver attitudes.
After each performance there will be a workshop to give students a chance to discuss their reactions to the play with the cast.
Councillor Ashley Whalley, executive member of Blackburn with Darwen Council for regeneration said: "The students will really benefit from the experiences of this hard-hitting production and hopefully it will help reduce the number of injuries and accidents in this age group."
Blackburn College, Beardwood and Queen Elizabeth Grammar School are among those already committed to hosting performances of the play.
