POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an attack on a 15-year-old boy outside a newsagents in Walden Street, Preston.

At 7.14pm, on Sunday, November 19, the boy was approached from behind by a youth and stabbed in the neck.

The youth responsible may have been called David and part of a gang who congregate in that area.

On Sunday, November 19, at 11.45pm, a man knocked on the door of a house on Ingleton Road, Ribbleton, in Preston.

The female occupant and her friend did not open the door but looked out to see who was there and saw a man on the pavement exposing himself.

On seeing them he shouted obscenities and ran off when he saw a police vehicle approaching. The man is described as white, aged 17-18, slim build and wearing a dark blue deer stalker hat, with the earflaps down, a two tone grey jacket which was dark grey on the front and back with light grey sleeves and navy tracksuit bottoms. He also spoke with a local accent. At 7.15pm, on Sunday, November 12, a man was walking in Dunkirk Lane, Leyland, when two men passed him in the opposite direction.

Shortly after they turned and attacked him from behind, forcing him to the ground and punching him on the head. They stole his wallet containing £50 and personal items, before running off and leaving him with serious facial injuries.

Both men were white. The first was around 30 years old, 5ft 8ins, stocky build, shaved head and wearing a white bomber jacket. short straight hair and wearing a blue coat, blue jeans and white trainers.

The second man was aged 25-30 years old, 5ft 10ins - 6ft, of medium build with short dark hair and wearing dark clothing.

At 7.50pm, on November 21 a man approached an 11-year-old girl in Station Road/Collins Road, in Bamber Bridge, and exposed himself to her.

He then touched the girl on her shoulder before she fled into a nearby shop.

The man was white, aged 40 years old, 6ft, with short straight hair and wearing a blue coat, blue jeans and white trainers. He spoke with a local accent.
