TEENAGERS turned themselves into characters from dozens of plays at an exhibition and show at Westholme School, Blackburn.
GCSE drama and A-level theatre studies students acted sketches from modern day and Shakespearean plays on Wednesday and Thursday.
The girls also designed costumes and make-up for characters from dozens of books and posed in them as "frozen statues" during the interval.
Graceful fairies from Midsummer Night's Dream and Peter Pan were the most popular choices, followed by evil characters such as Cruella de Vil, Lady Macbeth and fairy tale witches.
Headteacher Bobby Georghiou said some of the costumes were so effective it was hard to recognise the girls underneath.
Some of the performances and costume designs were part of the students' GCSE coursework.
