AN East Lancashire clean-up is set to continue in a bid to attract Christmas shoppers.
Successful clean-ups have already been held around the Whitefield area of Pendle prompting organisers to extend it further afield.
On Tuesday volunteers will be taking part in Nelson's Clean Sweep in a bid to free the town centre of all litter.
The sweep is organised by Pendle Pride, which is working in partnership with various organisations to help clean the streets. In Nelson it has teamed up with Nelson Town Centre Traders' Forum and a week later it teams up with Active Neighbourhoods and River Enhancement East Lancs to tackle Whitefield. The following day it moves to the Chatburn Park Drive area in Brierfield.
Anyone wanting to join in should meet at designated points. In Nelson volunteers should meet at the Place de Creil, at 1pm on Tuesday December 5; in Whitefield at Swaine Street, at 1.30pm on Wednesday December 13 and for Brierfield meet by Chatburn Park at 1.30pm on Thursday December 14.
