In an attempt to learn more about Vikings, youngsters at the Clinton Street school were forced to swap their pens and pencils for bows and arrows by three Viking enthusiasts from Southport.
Members of "Viking Saga" held a three-day workshop at the school and class teacher John Lickley said the event was so successful they plan on inviting them back again next year.
Mr Lickley said: "The children learnt so much about all aspects of Viking life and their follow-up work was brilliant.
"We will definitely try and get the workshop running again."
