Maine Rd 3, Clitheroe 3
A GOAL from Mark Stuart with the last kick of the game salvaged Clitheroe a point at Maine Road to keep them third in the NWCL First Division.
Stuart struck three minutes into injury time but it was no more than Clitheroe deserved after having fought back on three occasions.
Manager Dave Burgess admitted: "I was disappointed with the way we defended, but credit must go to the lads for the way they battled back."
Maine Road took the lead through Mike Turner after just four minutes, but Chris Whittington equalised in the 20th minute.
Jock Russell soon established the advantage for the home side again but 10 minutes into the second half Neil Reynolds levelled things up. Turner then added his second 20 minutes from time before Stuart's late show.
