LIGHT returned to a village community as a family staged their annual Christmas illuminations show.
David and April Barnes and son Mark have been lighting up their roadside home in Fence for around 10 years and the show gets bigger by the year.
The switch-on by Pendle Mayor Ian Gilhespy featured more than 5,500 bulbs and a 1,000-light avenue, together with a Santa's fibre optic greenhouse.
From now to Christmas Eve youngsters will be able to see Father Christmas relaxing in his study after a hard day's work.
The show and entry to Santa's cottage is free, but donations are welcome.
Stagecoach employee David says he hopes to beat last year's fund raising total of £1,600, which will again go to Derian House Hospice for children.
