YOUNG students at an East Lancashire school who helped pensioners to learn about modern technology have been presented with a shield by Age Concern to mark their efforts.
Pupils at Walton-le-Dale High School helped senior citizens learn languages and information technology.
Andrew Batt and Natalie Casterton are pictured showing off the shield watched by, from the left, mature student Gwendoline Moore, head of IT Andrew Harrison, head teacher Alan Hutchinson, and Margaret Tattersall and Geraldine Moore from Age Concern.
