IS Carl Fogarty (who is he?) really being serious when he says he has never heard of Barbara Castle (LET, November 30)?
This lady didn't look for acclaim or ask for it, but since before Carl was born has spent her whole lifetime tirelessly seeking justice for ordinary working-class people and in her advanced senior years still does -- presumably while Carl is riding his bike.
