BEST wishes go to Celtic's former Bolton defender Alan Stubbs who, it appears, is yet to win his battle against cancer.
Credit also to Celtic for immediately giving the 29-year-old a further year's contract.
Stubbs has apparently reacted positively to the news that earlier treatment, including the removal of a testicle, hasn't cured him of the illness.
He has been a regular visitor to the training ground and the gym since his diagnosis but is unable to play because of the possible trauma of a match situation.
Giving Ibrox a wide berth the weekend before last was therefore probably a wise move, although hopefully a quick glance at the Scottish Premier League table will provide a welcome tonic to the brave defender.
