THE group representing aerospace companies in East Lancashire has enjoyed its most successful year yet, according to its chairman.
Sky-high success at the Farnborough Air Show topped 12 months of highlights, said Dennis Mendoros, chairman of the Nelson-based North West Aerospace Alliance.
More than 50 Alliance member companies took part in the show and they are well on their way to achieving £50million worth of business from the event.
"It is easy to become blas about the Alliance's successful track record but the last year has undoubtedly been our most successful to date," said Mr Mendoros in the Alliance's latest quarterly report.
"I thank all the companies that have contributed to our success over the last 12 months and urge you to make the next year more successful as the Alliance meets its target to achieve and deliver on your behalf."
Mr Mendoros added: "Our Alliance is increasingly recognised as a world force in aerospace. It is exceptionally rare to meet anyone senior within the industry that hasn't heard of the Alliance.
"This increased activity and awareness is winning member companies both recognition and access to further business opportunities."
