BRITISH Junior ice skating champion Dannielle Guppy is playing the waiting game to find out whether she is in the Great Britain squad for the Junior World Championships.
Dannielle, who trains at Blackburn ice Arena, won her first major skating title at the British Nationals in Ayr last weekend.
The 14-year-old defeated several British squad members to take the Junior Ladies title and hopes that will convince the selectors she is ready for international competition.
Blackburn-born Dannielle, who is one of only a few local skaters to train at the Arena, was lying third after the short programme at the British Nationals and skated an almost flawless long programme to take the gold medal.
