THE SD34 Motor Sport Group has published its 2000 Road Rally Championship roll of honour with Ecurie Royal Oak's Dave Jones finishing first overall, ten points ahead of Pendle DMC's Neil Bye.

So far, only two drivers have won the title more than once, with Barrowford's Ken Skidmore claiming an impressive hat-trick and Neil Bye a double champion.

Veteran Jeff Smith succeeded in becoming the only navigator to win the category five times -- his first championship title came in 1965, before most of the current crew were born.

Only one person, Blackburn's Terry Martin, has managed success on both sides of the car, winning the driver's title in 1997 and the navigator's a year later.

In the club category, Pendle and Clitheroe took 7 out of 10 awards for the season.
