DAMIEN Johnson could be back in the frame for Saturday's home clash with Queens Park Rangers at Ewood.
Johnson has missed the last couple of games because of a back injury.
But manager Graeme Souness believes his Northern Ireland whizz-kid has a chance of returning.
And that would be a major boost to the Ewood chief who has high hopes for the hard-working 22-year-old.
"He first felt it when he came off against Wolves and it's been a problem to him ever since," said Johnson.
"So it's touch and go whether he'll be back or not.
"It was a bit of a blow to lose him when we did because he had been doing well.
"He came into the team at a time when we went on a good run and I think the supporters appreciate him because he gives 110 per cent.
"But I'm always looking for more and I believe he has more to give so I expect him to only get better."
