I'M writing to express my thanks to the lady who knocked on my door earlier this week, at about 8pm, to tell me I'd left my keys in the outside lock of my front door.
I didn't have a clue I'd been so careless and I dread to think how easily someone could have entered my home and robbed me or worse.
Please, everyone reading this -- it's an all too easy mistake to make, don't let it happen to you.
I live with my three-year-old child and, things being as they are in this day and age, I vow never to be so remiss again.
This lady, who was so kind, even apologised for disturbing me and although I thanked her at the time, I'd like to reiterate how grateful I feel for her kind gesture. A great big thank-you to a true Good Samaritan!
Grateful single mum (name and address supplied).
