I WOULD like to thank the kind person that allows their dog to foul the footpath in Alfred Road, just before the turn into Arrowsmith Road, Haydock (a regular occurrence).
Last week my husband and I were taking our 3 year old son to the sweet shop, and like any other child he was happily running ahead, that is, until he tripped and landed in all the dog mess.
His hands, coat, trousers and even his trainers were covered, comforting my child, the mess was then transferred to my coat also. we then had to return home and get changed before we could set off for our son's treat again.
This incident caused us great distress because the infections that can be caught can be quite serious, even life threatening.
I would like to remind this person and others, that the council give out, free of charge, bags for the removal your pets mess, and that there is a heavy fine for those who are caught leaving it behind.
Disgusted mother (name and address supplied)
