Clock Face Miners Wigan Rose Bridge A 6 CLOCK Face got back to winning ways with this hard-fought success in heavy conditions.
The home side dominated the first half and led 10-0 at the interval with tries by scrum-half Mike Simmons and winger Wayne Prescott, plus a conversion by Mal Grant.
Rose Bridge finally opened their account early in the second half with a converted try and this prompted a spell of pressure by the Wiganers.
But the Clock defence held firm with Graham Leadbetter, Neil Scott and Dean Barber prominent and they bounced back to increase their lead when Prescott kicked ahead twice and won the race to touch down.
They finally made sure of the points when prop forward Ant Fildes held off would-be tacklers before slipping the ball to Phil Brown who touched down in the corner to complete the scoring.
The A. Hughes and Sons Farm Services man-of-the-match went to Mal Grant.
