JOAN Baxter was just an infant when royalty visited her town-centre school.
In fact, at the time she was too young to take it all in and she wonders, more than half-a-century later, if anyone can fill in some details.
Spelling out her hazy recollections, Joan, of Grange Park Road, Toll Bar says: "I attended Holy Cross school and remember going to wave at someone royal. Two ladies with feathers in their hats stepped out of a black car, but I don't know who they were or what they'd come for."
Her only clue is that it would have taken place around 1948-49. "I've often wondered about that occasion," she says. "Could anyone please enlighten me on the matter?"
ANYONE able to put Joan out of her agony could drop me a line at the Star.
