WIMBLEDON boss Terry Burton will welcome Paul Robinson back into the Selhurst Park fold if the striker's loan spell at Turf Moor comes to an end this weekend.
Robinson reaches the end of his second month's stay with the Clarets after Saturday's derby clash at Preston North End.
The Dons front man has had limited opportunities since his arrival at Burnley and there looks to be little liklihood of a permanent move.
With a busy Christmas schedule coming up he could still provide valuable back-up within the squad following the departure of Andy Cooke.
But if Burnley boss Stan Ternent doesn't opt to keep the former Newcastle striker for a third month he will be back with Wimbledon next week.
Burton will have no complaints if that situation arises and hopes a change at scene with Burnley will have benefitted his £1.5 million summer signing.
"Hopefully the break will have done him some good. He will be back with the first team fighting for a place like the rest of the strikers on the fringe," said the Dons chief.
Ironically, Robinson could be set to play a part at Deepdale on Saturday as injuries and suspensions start to bite into the Clarets squad.
