Some 40 representatives from East Lancashire businesses were 'full of energy' after attending a seminar organised by the area's Business Environment Association.
The event, at St Mary's Chambers, Rawtenstall, looked at the Government's climate change levy and energy management.
The Association helps companies be more environmentally friendly.
