A NEW team appointed to champion learning for Greater Merseyside learners and businesses includes four local representatives.
Headteacher at Rainhill High School, David Alkin, joins Gordon Burns, personnel director at Stoves; Kath Boullen, chief executive of St Helens Chamber; and Rainhill ward councillor and deputy chair of the North West Development Agency, Mike Doyle, on the Learning and Skills Council's local council.
The team will work together to encourage more people to take the opportunity to transform their lives through education and training, and give local businesses a say in getting the skilled people they need.
