TWO months ago 75-year-old grandmother Hilda Redwood came out of hospital and since then her devoted granddaughter Kate, has cycled up to her home every day to cook her tea.

But on Tuesday, November 21, after cycling up to her nan's, Kate had her bike stolen from outside Hilda's home in Downway Lane, Parr. The bike, which was bought for Kate's birthday in August, was taken some time around 5.30pm.

Kate's sister, Lisa, said: "The bike was Kate's means of transport up to my nan's and now that it has been stolen it has made things difficult for her to get to nan's and make her tea. Kate's been cycling to nan's for the last two months and leaving her bike in the same place, under the window, and I can't believe that someone has taken it."

The bike, a purple Apollo mountain bike, is valued at £100.
