FISH? We 'tin fished' them when I served in the North Atlantic during the Second World War.
When stocks were getting down in the galley, dropping a depth charge (if we had any left) was a regular thing when we had been at sea some four weeks, the Bosun's pipe being "Away, seaboats' crew."
A cutter -- an 32ft lifeboat -- held plenty and it was back to 'big eats.'
This will remind a few ex-matelots of Atlantic patrols.
