Anyone who doesn't know what to do with their unwanted Christmas presents is being asked to 'pass the parcel' to the Marie Curie Cancer Care shop in St James Street, Burnley.
Sylvia Wright, area manager of Marie Curie shops, said: "Every year most people receive at least one gift which they really don't want or can't use.
"We are asking people to hand in any unwanted presents to their nearest Marie Curie shop where they will be sold to raise essential funds for the charity.
"For each hour of nursing care the charity provides £7.50 has to be raised, so all donations are very welcome and will be put to good use."
In addition to donations, the shop is also looking for volunteers who are able to give some time to help run the shops. Anyone wanting to help should call in at the shop.
