MORE than £400 was raised during two December evenings when the Bolton-by-Bowland's carol singers braved the weather.
The roving singers, organised through the village's WI committee, met outside the Coach and Horses Inn before setting off to serenade the residents of the village and outlying hamlets.
After a fine but cold first evening, the group was accompanied by driving rain on the second night and were unable to reach all the usual singing spots.
This year the money is to be divided between the North West Air Ambulance Service and the Heart of Lancashire First Responders training scheme.
