A MYSTERY couple have decorated a town centre tree in Burnley complete with tinsel, baubles and bells.
The Christmas tree, at the end of Active Way, Burnley, near to the roundabout with Princess Way and Brown Street has been decorated for the last two years.
This year the tree has silver and gold tinsel and silver and red bells and baubles and a sign which says Merry Xmas love Gill and Michael.
Secretary of Burnley and District Chamber of Trade Rita Walsh said: "It's lovely -- isn't it great fun.
"I saw it last year and I thought it might have been done just for the 1999 year 2000 so when I saw it had been decorated again this year I was delighted.
"These people really have the true festive spirit, Christmas without commercialism. Our love goes out to Gill and Michael, whoever they may be, for a great job well done.
"It is very inspirational and it gets full marks from me. It is all credit to them and let's have it again next year -- please!"
If anyone knows who the decorators are please contact the Lancashire Evening Telegraph newsdesk on 01282 423161.
