A FOOTWEAR group has put its best foot forward by committing itself to high standards of training by achieving the Investors in People (IIP) skills standard.
The Footwear and Leather National Training Organisation (FLNTO), which represents the footwear, leather goods and leather and shoe repairs industries, called on help from ELTEC to get the award.
FLNTO chief executive Charles Hubband said: "We are a small team but Investors in People has given us a focus point and goals to achieve. Planning skills have given us a better structure."
Although the FLNTO is based in Northampton, it called on ELTEC, one of the country's leading training and enterprise councils, for help because of its reputation.
