ST LUKE'S Primary School, Prescot has been given a glowing report by Government inspectors, Ofsted.
The inspectors commented favourably on the dedication of the teaching staff whose determination to raise standards and provide pupils with a high-quality education was found to be second to none.
They also found many strengths within the school, including the leadership from senior teachers and developments between parents and the local community.
Pupils came in for particular praise for their positive attitudes, good behaviour and personal development.
Maggie Keating, acting headteacher, said: "I am delighted that inspectors found the school to be well developed.
"We will continue to build upon our strengths and do our best for the children and their education."
