THE owner of a cat which has been missing for more than a month is offering a reward for the safe return of her beloved pet.
Alfie, a black, short-haired cat aged about two-and-a-half years, went missing from his home in Bold Road, Sutton Village at the end of November.
Since then, owner Allison Dyas, has contacted a number of organisations, including the RSPCA, Cats Protection, the police and various vets, in a bid to find him.
Alison (29) has even put up posters in the area, but so far her search has proved fruitless. She told the Star: "Although I have two other cats, Alfie was the first I bought and he is very special to me.
"He isn't a cat that regularly goes walkabout, he really is a homebird and the longest he has been away in the past is six nights.
"I'm really concerned about Alfie as he had not long got over an operation after an accident. I really would appreciate it if anyone who knows where he is, or who may be able to tell me if anything has happened to him, could contact me. I am offering a reward for anyone who can give me information leading to Alfie's return."
Alfie is black with short hair, a slim body, green eyes and a long tail. He has also been micro-chipped and neutered.
Anyone with information can contact Allison on 01744 816357.
