Curzon Ashton 3 Great Harwood 0
DENIS Underwood's hopes that the new year would bring a change of luck for his struggling side were crushed as Great Harwood crashed at Curzon Ashton.
Curzon went ahead through Craig Fleury who curled a shot into the top corner on 12 minutes and Harwood claimed a penalty when Richard Fogarty had his ankles clipped in the box, but it wasn't given.
After the break the game was virtually handed to Curzon when they were awarded a penalty on 61 minutes. Clive Dunn blocked a powerful 25-yard shot with his groin and as he fell to the ground in pain his hand touched the ball and the referee awarded the penatly, which Josh Mitten scored.
