ONCE again, you printed a letter from an overseas visitor, the second in as many months, complaining about the amount of litter and rubbish in this once-proud town.
Bags of rubbish litter our streets and back streets -- broken bottles, cans, takeaway wrappers; you name it, we have it.
I am ashamed to ask visitors to my part of Blackburn and am fighting a losing battle to keep my own area clean.
Why don't the councillors visit the areas they represent and see for themselves the scenes we witness daily. Surely, something can be done to stop those responsible for the mess they are making?
ELLEN ASHCROFT (Mrs), Accrington Road, Blackburn.
