THE Finnair Manchester League fixture list tomorrow sees Pennington in Gylchrist Cup action with a difficult away tie at Stockport Georgians.
Manager Steve Cooney will be rallying his troops for a competition which saw the Howe Bridge outfit as beaten finalists last term losing out to big rivals Atherton Town.
The Premier Division title is the target for Town and the course could well and truly be set for that if the home clash tomorrow with fifth in the table Prestwich Heys reaps three points.
Hindsford are looking to make it a double local celebration in this league by picking up the Division One title but Peter Barry and his highly talented young side must turn their attention elsewhere this weekend with a home Lancashire FA Amateur Shield third round clash with Wigan SMR. A home win for Andy Pickles and his Leigh Athletic side in the clash at Madeley Park with midtable Avro would see them leapfrog Hindsford at the top of the table.
Atherton Town Reserves face the same opposition as the club's first team with an away Division Two fixture at Prestwich Heys, while Pennington's second stringers travel to Elton Fold. Leigh Athletic Reserves are away at Failsworth Town and Hindsford are at Monton Amateurs.
