sSTAFF from Bury Council are giving a cash injection to children's hospitals by donating toner cartridges.
Seven departments within the local authority have signed up to the scheme, which raises around £3 for the Children's Hospitals Appeal Trust for every used toner cartridge from laser printers or desktop photocopiers.
The venture has been endorsed by Bury Council's waste management officer Liz Doyle, in partnership with the trust and the Green Cat recycling company.
The money raised will be put towards paediatric healthcare projects in the region.
The trust is currently seeking to upgrade paediatric equipment on all of Greater Manchester's emergency ambulances, costing more than £500,000.
