Miss Booth had lived in Bury all her life, having been born at raised at Richard Burch Street. She worked at Peel Mills until retirement and put her longevity down to hard work.
The eldest daughter of the Booth family, she had four sisters and two brothers. Before moving to Primrose Cottage in 1995 she shared a house with some of her siblings off Chesham Road.

She received two telegrams from the queen to mark her 100th and 105th birthdays.
A service followed by cremation at Rochdale Crematorium takes place tomorrow (Wed Jan 3).
