A LIFE in the fast lane beckons Bury man Dave Borland.
For Dave, who has worked as an articulated bus driver for First Manchester for more than two years, has now qualified as a PCV training instructor.
The intensive training course has received industry acceptance and is now recognised as an NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) in driving instruction.
Dave has received congratulations on his qualification from Pat Harrold, First Manchester's training manager.
Mr Harrold said: "We are very pleased that Dave has achieved the high standards required to graduate from the MODEX course.
"It is without doubt the best and most testing PCV instructor training course available."
He added: "As we continue to refine and develop the course content, so we hope that First Manchester's Training and Development Centre will become a recognised centre of excellence."
Dave has now taken on the role of service manager and is focused on improving the quality of service for customers and helping to develop information technology-based training initiatives for new drivers.
