TWO East Lancashire businessman tackled two very different endurance tests -- all in the name of charity.
Paul Burrows, managing director of Blackburn-based Weltonhurst, took part in China Challenge -- a walk along 100 kilometres of the Great Wall of China.
He was among a party of 70 people who made the fundraising trip in October . He said: "We were very lucky. We were given special passes to visit parts of the country which tourists don't normally go into."
Phil Burgess, managing director of Business Link East Lancashire, was challenged by his son to enter the gruelling 13-mile Great North Run in Tyneside.
He said: "All the Business Link business advisers sponsored me. As expected, my son beat me, but I was pleased to finish the distance and it was such an elating experience."
Together Paul and Phil raised £4,000 in aid of the Foundation for Study into Infant Death.
