DON"T mention fox hunting to me. I detest it -- and it's certainly not sport!
I hate cruety to all animals as readers must have gathered by now.
I have two foxes who visit my garden, and I regularly see them in the fields around my home. They're just like dogs to me and I couldn't harm a hair on their poor bodies.
I could have hit the pompous twit defending Boxing Day hunting who said that hunts help to keep the fox population in this country the healthiest in Europe. It is only the weakest ones that don't survive the chase.
The name Hitler springs to mind!
If hunters want to dress up in their splendid pinks and ride through the countryside with their dogs, why can't they be satisfied with drag hunting which is done in Lowton?
At least no innocent animal has to suffer and the riders can still have the thrill of the chase.
I sincerely hope that the government imposes a full ban -- but I have my doubts.
