BLACKBURN Rovers chief executive John Williams today praised fans for throwing their weight behind the club's promotion push.
Over 600 supporters snapped up season tickets covering the second half of the season as part of the club's Christmas promotion.
And that has now increased Rovers' overall season-ticket holder base to around 13,200 -- an increase of over 700 on last season's figures.
"We are delighted by these figures," said Williams.
"The fans have stuck by us and we've tried to play fair with them by making it an attractive offer."
"We've now actually surpassed the figures for when we first got relegated from the Premiership, which is marvellous.
"And those who've taken advantage of it have some very attractive matches to look forward to."
