A RECORD company based in East Lancashire is banking on success with one of its newest artists -- thanks to Sandra Bullock and Michael Caine.

All Around the World Records, based in Penny Street, Blackburn, believe hip-hop artist Red Venom will be one of the biggest new stars of the year.

Red -- whose real name is Mike Neilson -- is currently heavily featured on the soundtrack of Miss Congeniality, the latest Hollywood blockbuster featuring Sandra Bullock and Michael Caine.

And the label plans for follow the Manchester lad's success by releasing his second single next month in the form of B-Boy Supreme.

Matt Cadman, from All Around the World, told Pulse: "Radio One championed Red Venom's first single, Let's Get It On, and they are giving continued coverage to him as the UK's newest rap star.

"We held a showcase for him in London which was attended by representatives from all major TV and radio and Red Venom went down a storm.

"In the plastic world of pop, the show was recognised as something a little more real and exciting. "

Mark added: "B-Boy Supreme pays homage to the hip hop/ electro movement in the early '80s, using a riff from Man Parrish's classic Boogie Down Bronx."

Red Venom has been backed up by the renowned production skills of Big Boss Stylus and the scratching of DJ Pressure -- both of whom feature heavily on his debut album entitled Whataboutcha!.

Blending styles from '80s hip-hop through to the current Big Beat scene, with a passing nod at jazz, Britpop and Irish roots, Red Venom has achieved a great deal with the debut album.

Mark said: "Red Venom has now also joined the live circuit to rave reviews.

"The live show features a brass section and some of the best breakdancers this country has ever produced.

"Along with the superb cuts which go to make the debut Red Venom album, it is truly an unforgettable event."
