CUP saviour Lennie Johnrose hopes his last-gasp goal against Scunthorpe will help calm the nerves at Turf Moor.
Burnley's confidence has been sapped by a losing streak in Division One but Johnrose is looking to Saturday's 2-2 third-round draw to give the players a timely lift ahead of Saturday's trip to Gillingham.
He said: "From a personal point of view there's no fear on my side but I can understand as a team it's a little bit edgy.
"We've had a few games without a win and we're conceding daft goals so obviously players get edgy but we've just got to overcome what the crowd might say about us.
"When we're winning they're right behind us, when we're losing they're not. That's just the way football is. We've got to take it in our stride and just go on from here."
Johnrose, who came off the bench to set up a replay next Tuesday night with an injury-time header, added: "Fortunately the spirit among the lads hasn't dropped too much but getting that in the last minute the lads are buzzing a little bit.
"We know we can play better, we're not kidding ourselves, but hopefully that will be a spur for us and we need it, let's face it.
"We've stopped the rot now and hopefully we can use that as a bit of a springboard."
