A WIN was definitely on the cards at a bridge event for charity.
An all-day tournament, attended by more than 120 players, was held at The Athenaeum Bridge Club in Bury, now in its 150th year.
Funds raised, the majority by selling drinks donated by the Daniel Thwaites Brewery, were in aid of Bury Hospice.
Club president Mr Phil Taylor added: "It is great to see that after so many years, the club's events can still attract such a great deal of interest. The fact that people will put the mileage in to come and play says a lot about our standing."
Reflecting the distances travelled, winning teams came from Blackpool and Preston.
