ICE HOCKEY: Dan Mackeriel notched a hat-trick for Blackburn Hawks as they beat arch rivals Flintshire Freeze 4-3 in thr English League Cup.
The busiest man on the pitch was Freeze goakeeper Dave Clancy.
"Their goalkeeper was good but we should have won more easily," said manager Bobby Haig.
Craig Sharman scored Hawks other goal with the tie balanced at 3-3 before hero Mackeriel netted the decider.
