Rovers were on fire in the first half, the Preston defence and midfield never in touch with Rovers' repeated attacks.
Rovers were totally dominant in the first 20 minutes to earn them their first three, Jansen and Hughes claiming their reward. Jansen could have netted at least four within this period and was rampant in the Preston half.
Preston certainly had more self belief in the second half.
Preston forged a valiant effort coming out in the second half a different side dominating the second half.
Macken worked a 54th minute goal and then followed a disputed penalty on the 73rd minute, which Healy cleanly shot into the net.
