IF you are going to run a travel agency what better name to have than A Holliday?
Angela Holliday and her staff at Going Places, Blackburn, proved they are a "soaraway success" by picking up three internal awards for holiday sales and customer service.
The store was chosen as shop of the year from 26 Going Places sites across Lancashire and Cumbria, Angela was named manager of the year in the region and the shop was top out of 242 in the UK leisure group division of Rossendale-based Airtours, which owns the travel chain.
Angela, 23, of Nelson, took over as manager after moving from the Accrington shop in September 1999. She joined Going Places five years ago after leaving Nelson and Colne College.
Angela, whose maiden name was McInery, said she was used to people commenting on her apt surname.
"There was a lot of joking when I got married but I've got used to it now," she said. "People see my business card and it makes them smile. I don't mind people mentioning it. It is unusual, I know."
