TWO firefighters are to be honoured for their good service.
The men from Accrington and Rawtenstall Fire stations, will get Long Service and Good Conduct medals and certificates from the High Sheriff of Lancashire, Rodney Swarbrick.
Station Officer Andrew Taylor, who lives in Waterfoot, Rossendale and works at Accrington and Firefighter Christopher Pilling, of Crawshawbooth, Rossendale, who works at Rawtenstall, will be presented with the awards at Lancashire Fire and Rescue's Service Training Centre in Euxton, Chorley.
The ceremony will take place at 7.30pm tonight,Thursday, January 11.
The medals and certificates are conferred for twenty years' service of a consistently high standard.
