THORNTON scored first when Liam MacDonald picked up the ball from an error by Foxhall's keeper and passed it to Alex Evans who lobbed the keeper. Foxhall equalised on half time.
The second half saw the Thornton defence on good form with Andrew MacRae and Chris Brown working well and man of the match Ben Brindle making a good impact on the team.

THIS was a very hard game but they were not disgraced, with Alex Beckett and David Heeley making some good runs and challenges. Chris Lamb gave one hundred per cent again to be named man of the match.

THIS was a game dominated by the defences of both teams with very few clear cut chances made, and when they were, both keepers were in fine form. Matty Wood, Robbie Highfield and Stevie Wilson in goal were the pick of the bunch for the Tigers.

A GOOD display by the Lions against a strong Foxhall side. Johnny Holding in goal, Mike Woods and Ryan Holmes in defence 'Jonno' and Chris Newton in midfield fought well and provided Mike Lazenby and Mark Lord with some good opportunities, one of which Mark Lord converted.
THORNTON CLEVELEYS U11s 5 OUR LADY 2
THORNTON quickly went into a 3-0 lead with goals from Alex Edwards, Carl Green and Jake MacDonald. Plucky Our Lady came back to 3-2 before Ryan Harrison and Andrew Brown found the net for Thornton to make the final score 5-2. Man of the match was left winger Nathan Cowgill whose tricky wing play provided most of the chances.
THORNTON CLEVELEYS U12s 4 OUR LADY 1
IN terrible conditions it was no surprise all the goals were scored down wind of freezing driving rain. Our Lady opened the scoring following a defensive lapse as it took the visitors a while to rediscover their form. Thanks to Chris Threlfall in goal the deficit remained until Ben Beckett swept in a smart equaliser.
With the wind in their backs in the second half, Thornton started to dominate and Beckett was again on hand to give them the lead.
The third goal came after a well flighted corner caused havoc and Thornton rounded off in style with a flowing move down the left which Matthew Ogden was on hand to finish from close range. Andy Wilson was man of the match.
THORNTON CLEVELEYS U13s 12 OUR LADY 0
OUR Lady battled hard to the end but could not impose themselves on the game after a 6-0 deficit at half time. Scorers for Thornton were Sean Clancy (4), Brad Foulkes (2), Gareth Barton (2), Chris Bright, Adam Stanley, David Boydell and Paul Carolan.
THORNTON CLEVELEYS U14s 2 FLEETWOOD GYM 5
AN even first half battling against the elements, saw Thornton in the lead 2-1 at the break with goals from Chris Brundish and Dave Almond. However they were unable to capitalise on their many second half chances and eventually lost the game 2-5. Man of the match for Thornton was TJ Clarke.
THORNTON CLEVELEYS U15s 1 BJFF 2
THORNTON were thwarted by a last minute goal when a share of the points was deserved in this even game. Thornton's goal was scored by Adam Sharrocks.
THORNTON CLEVELEYS U17s 2 SOUTH SHORE 1
VICTORY for Thornton was secured by two goals from substitute James Rawcliffe. James Hastings was man of the match with a gritty midfield performance.
